Fixing Your Mistakes

It's going to happen. Either you drop a stitch and keep going, and you don't realize until later than you missed it, or you accidently made a yarn over when you were trying to purl. Or you purled when you should have knit.

Deep breath.

It's ok, it happens! And it happens to the most experienced knitters! We get distracted binge-watching our t.v. shows, we walk away from our knitting, and think we know what we're supposed to do when we come back to it. (Don't ever ask me about the blanket situation of '14, it was not pretty!) Point is, you're going to do it, because this is new to you and you're learning. Part of the learning process is making mistakes!

There are a TON of resources out there to help you fix your mistakes. Youtube is a good one, with plenty of videos. I'm going to post at least one here a week. Trying to explain it in text is a bit difficult. It's much easier to show you.

So this week, since you're just starting to learn to knit, we'll focus on fixing your garter pattern (where you knit every row) if you drop a stitch.
